Knowledge vs Wisdom

“Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom. Though it cost you all you have, get understanding” NIV

There are three words that are normally linked together: wisdom, knowledge and understanding. But most people do not understand what they are and how they work. In this brief post, i’ll give you a quick understanding of the three concepts that made Solomon such an  influential and powerful leader.

First of all, knowledge is information. Understanding is comprehension, but wisdom is the application. That’s why wisdom is supreme because you can know something and not understand it; you can understand it and not apply it. So nothing is complete until it becomes wisdom. Wisdom is, therefore, knowledge understood and applied. That’s why wisdom is more important than knowledge.

Nothing is complete until it becomes wisdom 🙂 🙂

A smoking doctor is a sign of someone with knowledge but no wisdom. He or she knows the predicament of smoking, that it may predispose him or her to lung cancer and other chronic ailments but still smokes.

You can have vast knowledge, ideas and concepts that can influence your course in life but until you convert this revelation to wisdom nothing may change in your life. Perhaps you’ve read so many inspirational books, blogs and other vast sources of information to aid you in your course to your destiny, and you still wander and wonder why nothing significant is changing in your life. It’s simple mathematics of logic, you never transformed those ideas and concepts you read to wisdom.

Wisdom, therefore, demands action. You must act on the information you read and apply it if it will ever impact any area in your life.

Wisdom is knowledge applied 🙂 🙂

God is the best example of how we should execute this concept to create an impact in our lives. The Bible affirms in 1 Corinthians 1:30 that Jesus Christ is the wisdom of God (He’s God applied). In John 3:16, the Bible records that, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life”. God would have simply said he loved us, but still let us go hell. So for this to make sense, God transformed it to wisdom and sacrificed his only son to redeem us.

Jesus Christ is the wisdom of God 🙂 🙂

It’s, therefore, imperative to reach out to vast sources of relevant information and ideas to aid you on your path to countdown to success but again take a different step and convert this information into wisdom.

As I grew up, I was introduced to this concept that “knowledge is the key to success” but I no longer concur. Knowledge is the key to success when you get that knowledge applied.

Knowledge is the key to success when you get that knowledge applied 🙂 🙂

It’s time to transform your life. Start to convert any valuable ideas at your disposal -NOW!

See you at the top.

P.S let’s do this 🙂
