one act of kindness

estranged street child

Estranged street child

I think about the young generations and they say they want to make it,

While politicians around them think of money and how to get it,

I think of students who talk of grade A and how to net it,

While others have the vision but they don’t know how to implement it,

I know of talented dancers who know how to toast it,

I mean, whatever potential you have – deploy it!

Each day i see kids in the street,

With absolutely nothing to eat,

Only a pulsating feeble heart beat,

To own their basic needs they have to con or cheat,

They’ve got no where to seat,

We watch them,

Beat them,

Insult them,

Evade them,

It’s a sad reality you know?

Some times they have to offer sex in exchange of one meagre meal – Oh no!

Because they’ve got no farms to sow,

Or anywhere to go,

We have to instill change,

And nourish some sense,

Then from here we can always gauge,

How far we need to go to unlock our virtues from its cage,

I mean if we could change the world of tomorrow,

By cultivating self discipline however narrow,

And love each other just like the dove and the sparrow,

Street children could forget to borrow,

And avoid sorrow,

Then the other continents could follow,

Nelson Mandela invented a cheap way to sort out this sanction,

But subdividing the entire fraction,

And emphasizing on fundamentals of education,

The entire ripple commences with you and me,

And soon it will be evident for everyone else to see,

And charge in faster than Bruce Lee,

Remember, education is a tough war on a global scale,

I hear death is pale,

But i’d rather hear both sides of the tale,

But then again life moves pretty fast than a whale,

If you don’t stop and look around once in a while,

You could miss it as you wail 😦 😦
